01Where We Ship

We deliver to addresses across South Africa. Whether you're in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, or a smaller town in between — we'll get your furniture to you.

Delivery to remote areas, smallholdings, farms, or locations that are not easily accessible by standard courier vehicles may require additional arrangements and could carry a surcharge. If you're unsure whether your address is covered at standard rates, please contact us before placing your order and we'll confirm upfront.

02Delivery Timeframes

For in-stock and ready items, we aim to deliver within 7 business days from the date your order is confirmed and payment has cleared. This is our standard target — in many cases we'll get it to you sooner, but we'd rather under-promise and over-deliver than the other way around.

Order TypeEstimated Delivery
In-stock itemsApproximately 7 business days from payment confirmation
Custom & bespoke ordersVaries — see Section 3
Major metros (JHB, CPT, DBN)Often faster — typically 3–5 business days
Outlying areasAllow additional time — we'll give you a realistic estimate at checkout

All timeframes are estimates and begin once payment has cleared and your order is confirmed. They are not guarantees.

03Custom Orders

Custom and bespoke pieces take longer — because they haven't been made yet. Production time depends on the complexity of the piece, the materials involved, and the current capacity of our workshop. Larger items naturally take more time to build and require more careful preparation for transport.

We will always confirm your estimated production and delivery timeline in writing when your order is placed. Once your piece is complete and ready to ship, we'll notify you and arrange delivery from there.

As a general guide, custom orders are delivered within 4 to 8 weeks from order confirmation — but we'll give you a specific timeline upfront so there are no surprises.

04How We Pack Your Order

We take packaging seriously. Every piece that leaves our workshop is wrapped and protected properly before it goes anywhere near a delivery vehicle. This includes:

  • Furniture wrapped in thick protective blankets or moving wrap to prevent surface scratches
  • Foam padding on all corners, edges, and protruding elements
  • Stretch wrap or banding to keep everything secure during loading and transit
  • Larger pieces strapped or secured within the delivery vehicle to prevent movement

We know how much care goes into making each piece, and we make sure it arrives in the same condition it left our workshop. If something still gets damaged in transit despite our packaging — please let us know immediately and we'll sort it out.

05Delivery Day

We or our delivery partners will be in touch to arrange a suitable delivery date and time window. Please make sure someone is available to receive the order — if no one is present at the agreed time, a re-delivery fee may apply.

When your order arrives, please inspect it before signing off on the delivery. Check for any visible damage to the packaging or the piece itself. If you spot anything, note it on the delivery document and photograph it before the driver leaves. You then have 48 hours to report the issue to us — after that we are unable to log it as a transit claim.

For larger furniture, our delivery team will assist with bringing items into your home to a ground-floor or agreed location. Please ensure the delivery route is clear and that doorways and access points can accommodate the size of the piece you've ordered — it's worth measuring beforehand.

06Delays Beyond Our Control

We do everything we can to meet our delivery estimates, but we want to be honest with you — there are things that can cause delays that are genuinely outside our hands. These include but are not limited to:

  • Severe weather conditions — flooding, storms, or road closures
  • Load shedding affecting our workshop or logistics partners
  • National or regional strikes, including transport and logistics strikes
  • Public holidays and closures
  • Courier or logistics partner delays
  • Road closures or infrastructure issues affecting delivery routes
  • Civil unrest or other force majeure events
  • Supplier delays affecting custom order materials

If something outside our control affects your delivery, we will communicate with you as soon as we're aware of it and give you a revised timeline. We won't leave you in the dark.

We are not liable for losses or inconvenience caused by delays outside our reasonable control. That said, we'll always do our best to resolve the situation as quickly as possible and keep you informed throughout.

07Damaged in Transit

Despite our best packaging efforts, transit damage can occasionally happen. If your piece arrives damaged:

  • Note the damage on the delivery document before signing
  • Photograph the damage and the packaging before moving anything
  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery at info@veetaedohome.co.za or WhatsApp 068 008 1390

We will assess the damage and arrange repair, replacement, or collection at our cost if the damage occurred during transit. Claims reported after 48 hours cannot be accepted as delivery damage claims.

08Delivery Costs

Delivery fees are calculated based on the size and weight of your order and your delivery address. The exact cost is shown at checkout before you confirm your order — there are no hidden fees added after the fact.

Some larger or heavier items may carry a fixed delivery fee regardless of location. We'll always be upfront about this. If you have a question about delivery costs before ordering, feel free to reach out and we'll give you a quote.
